How to Make a Reservation:

Reservation Office hours are Monday - Friday 9 to 5 all year round. We are in the same time zone as Louisville, Kentucky (EST/EDT).
Group reservations must be made at least 2 weeks in advance.

Things to have when you call:

  • Preferred date
  • Alternative date(s)
  • Activities desired
  • Approximate number of people
  • Deposit by credit card or mail
Waiver & Releases
  • All cave exploring participants must have signed waiver on arrival.
  • An original waivers is sent to you with your confirmation letter, and are avaliable below.
  • Participants under 18 years of age must have applicable forms signed in advance by parent or legal guardian.

Schedules

Group leaders should check in at the Marengo Cave Gift Shop upon arrival. Pay your balance at this time and get your schedule.

Q. Do I need a reservation?
A. To get the best prices, a reservation and deposit is required. Many activities require a deposit for scheduling.

Q. What is group minimum?
A. The minimum group size is 12. Group rate for canoeing 10+.

Credit Card taken at time of call or mail check within 7 days of call.
Put name of group and date of activities on check or enclose note.

Cancellations

  • No refund of deposits.
  • Canoeing, tour only or day groups may be transferred.
  • Call immediately if a problem arises.
What to Wear
  • If canoeing, wear old sneakers, a hat, sunscreen and bug spray.
  • For cave exploring wear long pants and layered clothing.
  • Two layers of old warm clothes, polypropylene or wool are warm when wet. (don’t forget cave mud is very hard to get out of your clothing)
Good Things to Bring

Cave Exploring:

  • Old clothes and shoes
  • Large, heavy-duty trash bags for muddy clothes
  • Personal shower items
  • A towel
  • Kneepads
  • A complete change of clothes, including shoes

Canoeing:

  • Drinking water (plastic bottle) for hot summer days
  • Snacks
